First of all If have to apologize to Mandi for the late hour of this post but I have an elaborate case of Bronchitis and it just keeps making me want to cough and cough and cough and . .... besides the desire to lay my head in a horizontal position. However, I've got to tell you about this fascinating story "Tide Every Rising," This book and its well developed characters captivated me right from the beginning.
Our main character, Kadie, loves exploring through old ghost towns and the vacant, dilapidated buildings that lines the streets. She invites her sister, Maysha on this latest adventure, which Maysha begrudgingly accepts. In their travels, they come upon a quaint, ghost town that seems to have mysteries yet unsolved, hidden within the walls of one, all-but-burned out cabin on its main street.
Quite by accident, or perhaps it was meant to be, Kadie finds a can beneath some broken wood in the floor. This can and the journal she finds inside, take her and her sister on a journey never intended. It was not only a physical journey but a journey of strange premonitions and dreams that forces her to search until she finds the answers. A young father named Logan, a his family enters the scene just at the perfect time and the story continues to grow.
Let's see, I don't want to give anything away, here, because I want everyone to read "Tide Ever Rising," and find out for themselves what an incredible story it is.
Thank you, Mandi, for giving me the opportunity to read and review your book.
